US President Donald Trump does not rule out imposing secondary sanctions against Russia if the Russian dictator fails to do his job.

“I want him to make an agreement so that we stop the killing of Russian soldiers, Ukrainian soldiers and other people. I don't want to impose secondary tariffs against his oil, but I think I would do that if I thought he wasn't doing his job,” Trump said.

Trump expressed his belief that the Russian leader will fulfill his side of the bargain, Ukrainska Pravda reported.

Trump noted that the Ukrainian side should fulfill its part as well. On this occasion, he noted that President Volodymyr Zelensky is trying to renegotiate the rare earth agreement, avoiding mentioning that the US offered a very different version of the arrangements at the last moment.

Trump reiterated that the U.S. gave Ukraine $350 billion and Europe only $100 billion, which he is allegedly trying to get back. He said a mineral deal with Ukraine would allow America to recoup those costs.

Trump spoke out about the impossibility for Ukraine to become a NATO member, adding that this was obviously the reason for starting the war.
