The former "most desirable woman in the world" celebrates her birthday today

As Ecclesiastes said, everything comes full circle. It seems that Jessica Alba, who once criticized Hollywood, is not only returning to the cinema, but is also preparing her daughters for life in show business. The first is for sure, the second is presumable.

In the 2000s, young Jessica was often called and even "elected" by various media outlets as "the most desirable woman in the world", but in fact, she hated filming erotic scenes. In "Sin City", for example, she refused to film with nudity, although they logically fit into her role in the film. Moreover, the impeccable aesthetics of the film implied that there would be nothing vulgar in such scenes - and, nevertheless, young Jessica made exactly this decision.

Perhaps the point here is that, according to the actress, her bright appearance contradicted the way she was raised as a child. After all, Jessica comes from a very conservative Catholic family, and her mother was constantly worried about the fact that her daughter became a beauty early. Her mother forbade her to wear fashionable tight jeans, arguing that she was attracting the attention of older men. "They don't understand that you're only 12 years old," she said.

Whether her mother was exaggerating or not, Jessica was a beautiful teenage girl who was embarrassed by her own body. And when her acting career began, her attitude towards herself only intensified. According to her, in Hollywood there is (or at least there used to be) a real hunt for young girls - they talk to them about sexual topics, constantly try to touch them. For Alba, with her strict upbringing, this was so unbearable that, according to her, she practically stopped eating in order to lose as much weight as possible and thereby make her body less "curvy".

As Jessica says, she stopped being ashamed of her own figure only when she gave birth to her first child (Alba has three) and began breastfeeding. “So that’s what my breasts are for, I told myself,” the actress recalled. However, she continued to be embarrassed when filming love scenes, since it was wild for her to play out love or passion with complete strangers.

Perhaps this is why her film career did not become “star-like” in the full sense of the word. However, although Alba did not change her attitude towards Hollywood, she still earned tens of millions of dollars in it, which she invested, among other things, in The Honest Company - a company that produces and sells goods for children, cosmetics and skin care. True, the value of the company's shares has risen and fallen in recent years, but in any case, the share that Jessica has is worth several tens of millions of dollars.

However, it seems that the last year or two have changed a lot. Firstly, Jessica and her husband Cash Warren divorced after 16 years of marriage. The reason given was "fading feelings", which is simply impossible for a true Catholic (if Alba is still one) - not fading feelings, of course, but the fact that this could be the reason for the breakup of a family with three children.

Secondly, Alba returned to the cinema, where she will star in a biopic about the famous Maserati automobile family, which created luxury cars (let us recall that more than one film has already been made about their competitors Ferrari).

And finally, what is most interesting is that Alba not only appeared this year with her two daughters at the most popular event of the year in the USA, the Super Bowl, but also actively "promoted" it - that is, she did the exact opposite of what Jessica's mother did in her childhood. And, as one might assume, she did it for a reason - at least one of her daughters, judging by the photo, has every chance of becoming a photo model, or even a movie star.
