The Watson series has launched, without Sherlock Holmes

Frankly speaking, the series has been questionable from the very beginning. There have been many films and series about Sherlock Holmes and Dr. Watson, but at least they retain some connection to the original.

For example, in the series "Elementary", although Watson was turned into a woman, Holmes is a former drug addict (in Conan Doyle's work he sometimes uses cocaine), and in "Sherlock", on the contrary, Holmes was made young, in his own words, "a psychoactive sociopath", but Watson is very similar to the honest and simple doctor that Conan Doyle created.

In "Watson", which premiered yesterday, there is neither one nor the other. More precisely, there is no Holmes, since, contrary to Conan Doyle, it was he who died in the fight near the Swiss waterfall, and not Professor Moriarty. Watson is not a practicing doctor, but a geneticist who conducts research in this area, which naturally interests Moriarty.

There have been so many similar plots in recent films that you can hardly count them. Moreover, at first, "Watson" was generally conceived as a medical series, similar to "House M.D.", and the idea of ​​"turning House into Watson" came later.

We'll see what came out of all this.
