Russian occupiers continue to commit war crimes, with their actions including the deliberate destruction of civilian infrastructure, particularly medical facilities.

These barbaric acts deprive thousands of people of access to medical care.

In response to the onset of the war, the charitable foundation "Kvitna" began seeking sponsors to establish a mobile medical hospital for the residents of Ukraine. Efforts to secure sponsorship were focused in the United States, where a branch of "Kvitna" was established. Families from Philadelphia, especially the Shteyn family, responded to the call for help. The young son of the Shteyn family, Alexander Shteyn played a pivotal role in organizing negotiations, handling documentation, and arranging the delivery of the medical platform to Europe, and subsequently to Kyiv. Alexsander Shteyn also assisted in sourcing the equipment necessary for the platform's operation.

It is remarkable that the family raised Alexsander with such values that charity and community projects have become central to his life.

The platform is now located in Kyiv, fully reconfigured to meet the needs and realities of Ukraine. It is registered and has all the necessary certifications. We are immensely grateful to all our sponsors and partners who supported this initiative. Thanks to the backing of numerous individuals and organizations, particularly the Shteyn family, we have made significant progress from acquiring the medical platform and the first ultrasound machine to obtaining other essential equipment. The platform is already providing medical care to women in dozens of communities across Ukraine.

The mobile medical platform is essentially a large house on wheels, functioning as a mobile medical center. Equipped with a 7 kW generator, it ensures autonomy from power outages. The platform maintains a stable temperature, provides hot water, and has a reliable water supply. It is fitted with Starlink for communication and a high-quality ultrasound machine for examinations. The platform includes two medical offices, a corridor, a restroom, and a refrigerator for storing medications.

"Kvitna" is a charitable foundation dedicated to the fight against breast cancer. It has been operating in Ukraine for eight years and has a branch in the United States. Over this time, the foundation has assisted many women across Ukraine in their battle against cancer.
