Poland should participate in future negotiations on the war in Ukraine.

Polish President Andrzej Duda has said that if the Trump administration invites states other than Ukraine and Russia to the negotiating table, it would be in Ukraine's interest for Poland to be there, the Financial Times reported.

"If we look at the resurgent Russian imperialism, in this particular case Polish and Ukrainian interests coincide," Duda said.

He was skeptical about the possibility of sending Polish troops to Ukraine.

"We are going to help Ukraine in the future because it is necessary. We do not need to station our troops there," he said.

Duda believes that ending Russia's war against Ukraine could lead to an explosion of international organized crime. In his opinion, Kiev would need massive support to ensure its security.

"Imagine a situation where thousands of people who came from the front lines are returning home. Those people who are fighting Russia, many of them will have mental health problems. They will return to their villages, their towns, where destroyed houses, destroyed plants, destroyed factories, lack of work and prospects are waiting for them," Duda said.
